Literature Text

I walk a lonely forest trail
Dappled sunlight dancing
Across overgrown paths
Twittering birdcalls
Insect song
Scraps of blue sky above
Loamy scent of nature
Soothes my weary soul
Branches rustle from the breeze
Playing softly with my hair
Warm smell of summer air
Was nectar to starving souls
My yearning spirit
Longs to be
Forever part of this hidden world
As I step out of the forest trail
A piece of me is left behind

I can almost feel the warmth of the summer sun on my skin as I read this. You've got a knack for evoking things. That's a powerful tool for an aspiring writer.
